Homage Seamaster Build
I am writing this post, since I just finished my second seamaster homage. The seamaster homage was my very first build, and I did a lot of mistakes, so I wanted to do a second version with better material and less mistakes.
What did I do differently?
I swapped the glass in the case I bought from Aliexpress with one with A/R coating, since the one that came with the case was almost unusable. A bit of sunlight made the dial invisible! I bought this one (expensive but really good: LINK), the case (LINK) was a very good one. The bezel insert was not yet glued, and the case has a very nice finishing. Swapping glass was done with this press (LINK).
I swapped the white 3 o’clock data disk with a 6 o’clock blue one (LINK). The color is not 100% matching the dial one, but is really close, so I am really happy.
I bought new hands (LINK) that have a very nice blue loom.
I also add a rubber blue strap instead of the metal one (that is very nice by the way).
All in all I am very happy on how it turns out. Much better than the original one!
